The management team of Credito Real is comprised of highly-qualified executives averaging over 16 years of experience in the financial sector, which has contributed significantly in the implementation of the Company’s business strategy, as well as in the identification and seizing of growth opportunities arisen in the past years and those that still lie ahead.
ÁNGEL FRANCISCO ROMANOS BERRONDO
Mr. Angel Francisco Romanos Berrondo is Credito Real’s CEO and Chairman. Mr. Romanos is also a board member of Controladora Mabe, S.A. de C.V. From 1994 to 1996, Mr. Romanos was Manager of International Business at CB Capitales, S.A.; and from 1987 to 1993, Treasurer of Mabe, S.A. de C.V. Mr. Romanos holds an MBA with a specialty in Finance and Statistics from the Wharton School of Business.
Carlos Enrique Ochoa Valdes
Mr. Ochoa was Credito Real’s COO from 2003 to 2015. Prior to that, he was the COO for northern Mexico (2000 – 2003) and Planning Manager (1997 – 2000). He holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Bristol.
Jose Juan Gonzalez Abundis
Mr. Gonzalez has been Credito Real’s COO since 2017. Before joining the company, he served for more than nine years as a senior executive in Kondinero. He previously was its COO, where he significantly contributed to the Credito Real-Kondinero merger. Prior to this role, he was involved in different departments within the organization, such as Human Resources Director and Purchasing Manager. Mr. Gonzalez holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey – “ITESM”) and a master's degree in Finance from the same institution.
Adalberto Robles Rabago
Mr. Robles has been Credito Real’s Human Resources Officer since 2008. Prior to that, he was the Human Resources Officer of Mabe, S.A. de C.V. from 2000 to 2008, and the Head of Human Resources at Grupo Desk, S.A. de C.V. from 1996 to 2000. Mr. Robles holds a Leadership Coach Certification from Leadership International Management ("LIM"), and he completed the MBA program at the PanAmerican Institute for High Business Direction (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresas – “IPADE”).
Luis Calixto Lopez Lozano
Mr. Lopez has been Credito Real’s Chief Legal Officer since 2005. Prior to that, he was Supervisor of the Legal Department (1998 - 2000) and Corporate Counsel (2000 - 2004) of the Company. From 2004 to 2005, he served as Credito Real’s External Corporate Counsel. Mr. Lopez completed the certification programs of money laundering and terrorist funding prevention, corporate law, and banking and financial law by the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology (Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico – “ITAM”) and holds a master’s degree in Corporate Law from the Pan-American University (Universidad Panamericana).
Luis Carlos Aguilar Castillo
Mr. Aguilar has been Credito Real’s Commercial Officer for Payroll Loans since 2008, and he previously served as the firm’s CFO between 1995 and 2008. Prior to that, he was the Financial Audit Manager of Banco Internacional, S.A., Institucion de Banca Multiple (Bital). Mr. Aguilar holds an MBA from the PanAmerican Institute for High Business Direction (Instituto Panamericano de Alta Direccion de Empresas – “IPADE”).
Luis Arturo Magallanes Mantecon
Mr. Magallanes is Credito Real’s Chief Marketing Officer. He is an executive with over twenty years of international experience in sales and marketing. Mr. Magallanes worked for the Coca-Cola system in different positions, as marketing director and later as regional director at The Coca Cola Co. Additionally, at Panamco Group (FEMSA), he served as marketing VP for Mexico, Brasil and Latin America. He also was Chief Marketing Officer of DHL Mexico.
Claudia Patricia Jolly Zarazua
Ms. Jolly has been Credito Real’s Treasury Manager since 2014. Prior to that, she served as the firm’s Treasurer from 1998. From 1997 to 1998, she was the Manager of Business Monitoring at Televisa, and from 1989 to 1997, she held several positions at Banamex’s Corporate Promotion and Analysis divisions.
Luis Berrondo Barroso
Mr. Berrondo is an Industrial Engineer graduated from the Ibero-American University (Universidad Iberoamericana – “UIA”) and holds an MBA from the London Business School. Before joining Credito Real, Mr. Berrondo was a partner at Variv Capital, a venture capital fund focused on newly established technology companies, mainly e-commerce and fintech. Previously, Mr. Berrondo worked at Mabe where he contributed to the development of new businesses, including the expansion of a refrigerator factory for the American market, the establishment of a business unit oriented to the medium- and high-income households in Brazil, and the outlining of an entry strategy into South Africa and Angola. At earliest point in this career, Mr. Berrondo was a consultant at IBM Business Consulting Services, assigned to Pemex’s and Grupo Sanborns’ projects.
Pablo Federico Bustamante Gonzalez
Mr. Bustamante is a CPA graduated from the La Salle University in Mexico City (Universidad La Salle), where he also obtained a master’s degree in Finance. Additionally, in 2007, he received an MBA from the University of Quebec. Mr. Bustamante has ample financial accounting experience in the Mexican financial sector. He was the Chief Financial and Planning Officer at Credito Familiar, where he started his career in 2012, serving as Planning and Budget Manager. He was comptroller of Principal Financial Group and Manager of Reporting and Accounting of Garante Aforte at Citigroup from 1996 to 2002.
Felipe Guelfi Regules
Mr. Guelfi holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute and postgraduate degree in Investment Advising from the University of Montevideo. He has extensive experience in the development of different financial products. Mr. Guelfi has served as investment advisor and CFO in financial companies such as GE Money, and as a partner and CEO of Global Lending Corporation.
Hector Antonio Huelgas Lamas
Mr. Lamas is a CPA graduated from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico – “UNAM”). He has worked at J.P. Morgan Bank Mexico, Bank of America and HSBC. Mr. Lamas has more than 16 years of experience in auditing and he has managed several auditing teams, while also participating in committees. Mr. Lamas has been a Team Leader for activities in global markets, as well as private and investment banking.
